9. Diapers
Okay, so diapers might seem super obvious, but trust me, you’ll want to over-prepare. Blowouts happen, and they happen often during newborn shoots.
- Bring way more than you think you’ll need. Seriously.
- Consider bringing different sizes. Babies grow fast!
- Have some unscented baby wipes handy for quick cleanups.
I always pack at least a dozen diapers, even for a short session. It’s better to have too many than to run out mid-pose, especially if you’re going for those cute, bare-bottom shots. Plus, having extra diapers can be a lifesaver for the parents, too!
Loosening the diaper about half an hour before you start can help prevent those annoying red marks on the baby’s skin. This gives the skin time to recover and look flawless in the photos.
