Responding to Your Baby’s Cues
Babies communicate in their own way, mostly through cries and body language. Learning to understand what they’re trying to tell you is key. It takes time, so don’t stress if you don’t get it right away. Patience is key here.
- Different cries can mean different things. A hungry cry might be short and repetitive, while a pain cry could be more sudden and high-pitched.
- Pay attention to their facial expressions. Are they scowling, or do they seem relaxed?
- Respond promptly to their needs. This doesn’t mean you have to jump every time they make a peep, but acknowledging their cries and offering comfort helps them feel secure.
